The Infotainment & Driver Interface department (I&DI) of the Electronics & Safety division is currently looking for talented engineers with the same passion for cars, software, and new technology as them. People who want to simplify peoples lives and make driving safer, greener, more connected, and more fun.

Delphi is working with a variety of SoC suppliers, and now they need to strengthen their platform teams with additional Linux expertise. You'll work as an embedded Linux developer in an agile Scrum team working with platform development, board bring-up, and hardware integration in one of their head unit or reconfigurable cluster projects. The teams are self-organizing and you'll have a large degree of freedom and possibility to affect your own work according to your interests. You're tech-savvy and consider yourself as an authority in Linux development. You have a strong understanding of the Linux architecture, boot sequence, kernel modules, and device drivers. You know your way around C, agile practices such as Scrum and Kanban, continuous integration, and modern development tool chains, and you preferably have experience from embedded development.

Qualifications

- BSc or MSc in software engineering or equivalent

- Minimum of three years of experience as a software engineer working with Linux systems

- Strong understanding in the Linux architecture/Linux boot sequence

- Good understanding in kernel modules and device drivers

- Basic understanding on developing the kernel and working with the Linux developer community

- Basic understanding on secure concepts as secure boot, SELinux, and signed upgrade packages

- Good understanding of agile project methodology, e.g. Scrum and Kanban

- Basic understanding of systems engineering and requirements management

- Fluent in English written and verbally

Experience from some of the following key areas below:

- C, Makefiles, Debuggers, Bash, Perl, Python

- Open source Linux development, e.g. GENIVI, Yocto, AOSP, AGL

- Linux, Android, QNX, and INTEGRITY development

- Performance/debug tools, e.g. tcpdump, vmstat, iostat, strace, rrdtool

- Serial communication, e.g. I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO

- Git, Gerrit, Jenkins

- Jira, Confluence, Polarion

- Continuous integration and deployment

- Automotive, embedded, or infotainment systems development
