We are looking for a cloud web developer who are passionate about moving fast, solving new problems and building awesome software. Members of our team are comfortable moving up and down the technology stack, from developing web applications down to infrastructure services. Our team have expertise with containerization, networking, API development, core infrastructure and web application best practices. Everyone is expected to understand the full system, help develop it and make sure it runs smoothly in production.
You will have a burning passion for creating beautiful Web UIs. You have an obsession with code quality and can deep knowledge of the state-of-the-art techniques you are employing to get there; you have an opinion on JS test frameworks;
Responsibilities include:
- Develop highly interactive web applications using technologies like JavaScript, React, Angular, Node, and MongoDB/PostgreSQL from requirements gathering to design, development, testing and maintenance;
- RESTful APIs;
- Work in a cloud continuous delivery environment, writing production ready code that is deployed continuously; and
- Automate everything!
Skills and Experience you will bring to Qlik:
- Bachelor degree in computer science (or equivalent);
- At least 3 years’ experience as interactive web developer;
- At least 3 years’ experience using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS; and a familiarity with the limitations of various browsers and devices;
- Understanding and some prior experience with noSQL and other databases;
- Experience with Node.js or the ability to learn quickly;
- Experience with Amazon AWS, Chef, Puppet, or Docker;
- Experience with globalization / i18n (highly desired);
- Ability to learn, work with and apply lots of different technologies to solve real problems;
- Able to work with source control (git or GitHub);
- Independent learner who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills working within cross-functional team
- An understanding and appreciation of the purpose and the practices of agile; accompanied with the skills to deliver reliably and effectively on a sprint cadence.
