POND are looking for a Technical Director who will be in charge of finding and hiring a couple of front end developers in order to start building POND´s tech capabilities. Most likely you have previous experience from developing yourself. Your are motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. And also, the idea of failing and learning fast. Of course you are aware of the collection of data.
The focus areas initially would be prototyping and the launching of minimum viable products in a highly creative and fast environment. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. As a person you are easygoing and like to interact with others.
Responsibilities will include:
- Hire and build front-end team
- Create new user-facing features
- Make sure to build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
- Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
Requirements (Need to have):
- A solid understanding of user-centred design processes and proven experience in delivering user-experience centric software and solutions
- Strong understanding of new digital platforms and emerging technology
- Experience in leadership roles, with proven team management and active mentorship abilities
- Coding experience
Great if you also... (Nice to have):
- Experience working in design driven processes
- IoT related work
- Understanding that design may be more important than clean code
- Experience in educating about tech, both internally and with clients
