Project Engineer - Energy Consultant

We are looking for a project engineer with experience in software development, techno-economic modeling, and project management. Specifically, the first and main task of the work will be related to software development and Python programming of the in-house DYESOPT tool for a number of power plant models, reason for which previous experience with Python and Matlab are highly valued.

In addition, as a project engineer you will work closely to senior consultants in the company and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing consultancy services to project developers, technology providers, investors and governmental agencies. Therefore, your other tasks might relate to providing technical advisory for plant design and/or operation, preparing market research reports, performing technical due diligence and yield assessment of power plants and energy systems, among others.

Owing to the global nature of our business, travel may be required.

We invite applications from energy professionals with:
- A MSc degree in the fields of mechanical engineering, energy engineering, sustainability or similar
- Proficiency in using Matlab, Python and TRNSYS
- Proficiency and/or experience with DYESOPT modeling tool is desirable
- Experience in power plant techno-economic optimization models is desirable
- A thorough understanding of technical advisory work for large-scale solar power projects
- Excellent customer relations and strong project management skills
- Good written, presentational and communication skills
- Previous experience as consultant or software developer is an advantage (1-2 years)
