Global Team Leader Software Development

An overwhelming amount of user generated content (UGC) is generated every day, and at Besedo we make this digital content better for all.

The company today offers a mix of automation with the newly released tool Implio, and manual moderation by teams in five offices around the world, all tailor made to the needs of its clients.

We are now looking for a Global Team Leader for our Software Development Team located in Paris, Stockholm and Iasi. The position is open for both the Stockholm and Paris office.

What will you work on?

Implio is a B2B solution that revolutionizes digital content security, monitoring and moderation. The increased usage of mobile apps and social networks, has made real time publishing of quality content a must to attract and retain users. With Implio, we bring this power to marketplaces of all sizes and maturity by combining advanced text and picture analysis into one easy-to-use product.

What will you do?

We are expecting to quadruple the volumes of data going through our system by the end of the year while adding features regularly. We are working with big data solutions, text analysis and computer vision.

With that in mind, you will:

• Lead and continuously develop the different teams, both from the technical and human aspect
• Understand and coordinate the work of the developers
• Play a key role in architectural and strategic decisions
• Help prioritize technical and client requirements
• Build (as a group) the product right, combining the long term business goals and an agile process
• Promote, document and enforce best engineering practices
• Develop a great relationship with the product owners, designers and other stakeholders
• Work with HR to attract and retain high quality team members

Who are you?

You are a natural leader with experience leading a development team using agile management. You are a great communicator and delivering feedbacks comes easily to you. You know how to set direction and targets in a structured way. You have a technical background and hopefully experience of working or leading remote teams.

You LOVE to travel as this position requires you to be in all offices as often as possible

You also have a strong but pragmatic opinion on:

• How to sustainability balance feature delivery and tech debt amortization
• How to work with legacy code and tech debt, knowing when to rewrite and when to refactor incrementally
• How to avoid over-engineering

Knowledge of Scala, machine learning and/or computer vision is a plus. Same goes for experience with agile tools like issue tracking systems.
