Currently used by a wide range of users including bloggers, educators and some of Sweden?s largest publishers like Aller Media places Coursio in a position to change the online educational space on an international level. The company launched its service internationally in the beginning of 2014 and are aiming to rapidly grow on the US market.

We want to strengthen our team in Stockholm - that develops our e-learning product, - and are looking for a Frontend developer

Who you are

You are a person with mad skills when it comes to hacking beautiful presentations using the latest frameworks and techniques.
You dream about CSS3 and HTLM5 when sleeping, using JavaScript to create next-gen software. Here at Coursio you will able to use these skill to disrupt the online education landscape and get freedom to test and apply the latest technologies in making a kick ass web app.

What you will be doing

You will work together with the core product team (Product Owner/Co-founder, Head of UX Design and Tech Lead) and besides working with day to day development you will be involved in more strategic issues such as setting the frameworks and technical requirements for the product as well as developing our working environment.

More specifically

- Work closely with designers and developers on our web applications in an agile environment
- Develop web applications that apply to front end standards using current technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Support the product team via lending feedback and input during planning meetings to ensure best practices in areas such as mobile first, progressive enhancement, and accessibility
- Maintain and expand upon knowledge of multiple languages, frameworks, tools, devices, applications, and their capabilities
- Design and build complex applications with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and high-reliability

Desired Skills and Experience

Need to have:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Front End development
- Strong professional hands on coding experience with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript development
- Thorough knowledge of responsive web practices
- Experience with scalable UI/UX applications
- Experience developing and testing with cross browser compatibility
- Experience of working with Github
- Previous startup experience
- Passion for technology

Nice to have:

You have an active role in the development community by, for example, participating in workshops, blogging or contributing to open source projects
- Experience from developing a SAAS product
- Experience of working with web server-side technologies (we use PHP)
