JOB DESCRIPTION
In this role you will primarily provide first line technical integration support for Axis’ third party application development partners (by Axis called ADPs).

This means you need to be able to combine two important skillsets:

* An ability to see the customer point of view and to maintain an efficient dialogue seeking usefulness in every request or reply given to a customer
* Knowledge and experience in any programming language and .NET as well as Windows and Linux operating systems including related scripting.

You will work with a case driven support ticket system through which our ADPs (for this position from Europe, Middle East, and Africa) will raise their cases.

The position is based in Lund Sweden and you will be part of the Technical Services team where most Technical Services Engineers (around 23 people) do Axis product support. The collective knowledge and cooperation within the team is very important to efficiently resolve customer issues, which means that you, as well as any other TSE, can be involved in any type of support case or internal training activity.

Other components in the role will be to interact with Axis sales offices and central Axis ADP support resources on specific sales projects where a support case needs to be resolved, and furthermore to actively build and share knowledge from ADP support within Axis. In relation to knowledge sharing you are expected to document your key findings and often asked questions on the use of our APIs, both for internal sharing and to be published externally.

You should be able to define and sometimes write documentation needed by partners for better understanding of the Axis APIs and how they can implement them in practice.

For clarification this is a supporting role towards customers and not a development position.

The position involves a few travels a year within the EMEA region.

Apart from the above we think you have the following qualifications:

* Technical University education or 3 years’ experience from a similar technical support role
* Experience from working in a technical support role, supporting international customer
* Very good English, written and spoken
* Experience in at least one of the areas below is mandatory for all applicants: o camera/image knowledge (photography) o network protocols o shell scripting.
*
* Strong communication skills, ability to explain complex problems to customers in a calm balanced and professional way.
* Additional knowledge in major European language is beneficial (except English and Swedish).

This Technical Services team is responsible for the support in for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. All functions are located in Lund, Sweden and we’re currently a team of around 23 people.
