System Administrator

- Mange services like Jenkins, Artifactory, Gerrit, GitLab.
- Manage and configure new and existing systems (both physical and virtual) primarily running RedHat Enterprise or a derivative.
- Manage and maintain a large VMware environment
- Assist in the continuous development and improvement of infrastructure that facilitates automated management.
- Experience with configuration management software Puppet desired.
- Perform routine and exceptional operations such as data restores and backup validation.
- Work with our customer support staff when client support tasks require advanced systems knowledge or changes.
- Work on network and security related tasks as needed.
- Rotating on-call responsibilities; this job will require that you carry your phone with you and be available if there’s an off-hour problem that requires your intervention.

What We’re Looking For
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Linux/Unix skills; you should possess a very confident level of knowledge of most topics related to Linux and have references.
- Analytic skills; it is required that you be able to think critically, adapt to unique situations quickly, and devise solutions to problems, both independently and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of Docker is desired.
- TCP/IP - you should know TCP/IP v4 reasonably well.
- Security - you should know the “do’s” and “don’ts” of security with regards to good system administration practices.
- Script programming skills; you should be comfortable with programming scripts to automate system administration tasks; you should know PERL, PHP, -
Python, and/or one of the major shell’s scripting language.

Experience
- We’re open to reviewing candidates with different levels of experience.
- Preferably, you’ve worked in a highly virtualized environment and understand how to align load demands with hardware resources.
- We are a 24x7x365 operation providing services which many customers’ derive their sole income from. Experience in an environment where high availability and absolutely minimal downtime were mandates is desirable.

Languages:
- English
- Swedish (or willing to learn)
- Hindi (Should be able to have a professional conversation)
- Any south Indian language is a bonus.
