Lead Front-End Architect – TOSS

Group IT within Volvo Group Process & IT with more than 8000 people is a new organization, with an end-to-end responsibility for all development, deliveries and support of IT solution for the Volvo Group.

We are now looking for a Lead Front-End Architect to join the TOSS project within Solution Center MAS, Volvo Group IT
In this role you will be reporting to the Delivery Manager Sales Order Planning, SDU MAS/DCL.

Role Mission and Context
We are now in the start-up phase of the Total Offer Sales Solution Project. The scope of this project is to develop the next generation of IT solutions that supports the truck new sales business including services from quote to order.
Users of the sales solution will all have a seamless experience based on their area of responsibility even though the information is originated from many sources. This put high demands on a modular and highly extendable front-end architecture.
First step for TOSS is to define a target architecture by a number of identified POCs.

Position Overview
The TOSS project is seeking a Lead Front-End Architect who have proven experience developing and supporting enterprise-class web applications using all front-end technologies. As a lead the candidate must have the ability to architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications.
The candidate must have extensive experience working in cross functional teams following Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities
The candidate will navigate and drive the complete Front-End area which includes a wide perspective even between application borders.

The candidate will provide high-quality, well-structured architecture and code and will be able to communicate effectively with client counterparts, technical leads and other members of the development team. The candidate will mentor developers by encouraging collaboration, participation, and creative thinking.

In this senior role we expect you to be able to drive and deliver in a big global organization, take initiatives and to be proactive. We also expect you to be well skilled in building competence and do knowledge sharing to secure a wider competence in the full project team.

Since you are part of a global unit, with global responsibilities in a senior position, you will need to actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment.

The person needs to be a good team player with a positive attitude, be innovative and have a good feeling for business development.
