Interaction Designer - Tobii Tech

Tobii is looking for an Interaction designer to create mind-blowing consumer experiences based on Eye Tracking Technology. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about HCI and who has experience of designing interactions and experiences where focus, attention and timing are critical factors.

If the device in front of you had Tobii Eye Tracking it would know exactly where you are looking while you are using your computer. This opens up for interaction between human and computer in a whole new way where both parties are truly aware of each other and where a natural and human like interaction can take place. Sounds exciting? It is!

There has recently been explosive interest around integrating eye tracking into games and devices, and we now need to strengthen our UX team!

The role and responsibilities

As an Interaction designer you will work in a team of UX designers and developers where you will be involved in the entire process from concept exploration through design of the finished product. Our design process is based around rapidly turning ideas into tangible prototypes.
As a designer you will see the bigger picture of how and why while at the same time keeping dead focus on the details that make the experience.
Your days will be filled with

• Conceptual design of interactive experiences.
• Detailed HCI and animation/visual effects design.
• Clearly communicating ideas and design artifacts within the team and with stakeholders.
• Rapid interactive prototypes.
• Documenting use cases, design patterns and principles for other UX designers to use, as needed.
• User testing as needed.

We are looking for someone who has

• A masters degree or equivalent, specializing in a design related area
• 4+ years solid hands-on experiences in HCI/interaction design
• Sharp skills in analyzing and verbalizing design strengths and weaknesses
• Self motivation as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills
