We are looking for an Interaction Designer who is passionate about making it easier for our 2 million customers to share their experiences, opinions and feelings with others.
Our department is responsible for 3’s digital presence both internally and externally, managing our e-commerce, self service, marketing, and internal communication channels.
About the role
You will partner closely with engineering, business intelligence, editorial, and our business stakeholders to create elegant solutions to business needs, as part of our in-house UX team. Your role will involve:
Quickly understanding the requirements of the business and it’s objectives.
Translating research findings into solutions that deliver value to the business.
Creating user journeys, logic flows, wireframes, functional specifications, and Axure prototypes.
Planning, preparing and carrying out user testing.
Present various aspects of the user experience to our engineering, and business stakeholders.
Reviewing existing solutions, identifying issues and coming up with solutions to improve them.
Contribute to and help develop our design pattern library.
Track and monitor progress on development and quality of the user experience.
Be a messenger of a user-centered way of working throughout the organisation.
Skills and Experience
3+ years working as an Interaction Designer, UX Architect, Product Designer or similar.
Excellent working knowledge using Axure RP.
Experience designing for responsive web, with native mobile being a plus.
Experience working in an e-commerce context.
Fluency in web technology concepts, with an ability to collaborate with technical leads to develop solutions.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
You are sociable, extremely responsive and have a strong drive and passion to make things happen. You’re used to working independently as well as in projects with others. You can defend and explain your designs when they come under scrutiny, but are also able to empathise and take feedback on-board.
