Senior Software Test Engineer

Your role within Genexis

As a Senior Software Test Engineer you develop and execute test strategies, plans and
specifications for our fiber connectivity product portfolio. The position offers a wide range of
possibilities to work with everything from low-level networking to high-level functionality.
The team is responsible for all SW development for existing and new Home Gateways.
That means development as well as manual and automated testing of Linux drivers,
network functionality, remote Management (TR-069), VoIP applications and WebUI.
Test development is mainly done in Python in a Linux environment.
Product development is done following agile methodologies.

Your experience and skills

To be successful in this role you should have a minimum experience of 5 years manual and
automated testing in embedded systems with some real-time requirements.
You have experience with test automation. We use Linux; experience with this operating system
is a mandatory requirement. Working experience with router SW development,
network protocols such as SIP, TR-069 and routing protocols, WebUI usability, various access
technologies like Fiber, Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n/ac and USB is a plus.
Working experience with agile testing and Continuous Integration is a plus.

- You should have good communication and documentation skills.
- Good knowledge in shell, python and Linux is required. Expect, perl, and C is a plus.
- Certified as a tester (TMAP Next, ISTQB, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to take initiative and full responsibility in planning, investigation and testing
- You are dedicated and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
- You want to drive quality and efficiency in software testing.
- You should love technical challenges and working with the latest available microprocessors in the market!
