Back-End Developer to Record Union

Record Union is looking for a skilled Back-End Developer to join their growing development team. This role will land you right in the middle of an exciting and evolving industry – The music-technology industry.

Record Union runs a distribution platform that puts artists’ music on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play and many more. We create artist opportunities through our partnerships, music expertise and data science. Our vision is to democratize the music industry!

Responsibilities
• Write correct, highly performant, structured code for the backend of our system, following best practices and team flow.

Required Skills
• At least three years of experience in developing high-performance and scalable web applications as a dedicated backend developer.
• Excelent knowledge of OOP and SOLID principles
• Strong knowledge with WebAPI, C# and the rest of the .NET ecosystem
• Proficiency in code versioning with git
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and writing thorough tests
• Experience working with CI\CD
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Solid understanding of security and access control
• Experience with ETL tools and data manipulation

Desirable Skills
• Some experience with distributed systems
• Interest in handling data flows with but not limited to the Hadoop ecosystem
• Interest in functional programming

• An addiction to learning and discovering new ways of doing things better.
• A willingness to work across multiple platforms and to learn additional skills whenever necessary in pursuit of the team’s objectives.
• The ability to plan and negotiate with peers to meet deadlines.
