PDU Base Band and Interconnect
Business Unit Network Products are responsible for the company’s industry leading radio products and solutions and is the foundation for Ericsson’s technology leadership. Product Development Unit (PDU) Base Band and Interconnect consist of approximately 2000 R&D professionals spanning R&D sites in Europe and Asia. The PDU is responsible for all aspects of Base Band and Interconnect HW and SW module development and their integration. The products are part of Ericsson Radio System. The PDU is heavily involved in product development for 5G.

The Sync & Packet Transport (SPT) sector consists of more than 200 R&D professionals spanning R&D sites in Sweden, South Korea and Croatia. The SPT sector work with SW development of Synchronization and Radio Interconnect functions for the Ericsson Radio System Products towards 5G and is also a competence center in these areas for Development Unit Network Products (DNEP).

We are now looking for stage 6 developers to strengthen our Interconnect (IC) teams, responsible for IPT (Internal Packet Transport) implementing Ethernet based node internal communication services and RIC (Radio Inter Connect) which includes SW and HW (BB R503) for managing 4G C1 (CPRI) and 5G C2 (Ethernet) communication links between Baseband Units, Auxiliary Units and Radio Units (C1 and C2 multiplexing/de-multiplexing as well as media conversion electrical <-> optical)).

Job Description:

Developing solutions in the IC area for Ericsson Radio System Products towards 5G.
Development of automated test cases and test suites.
Maintenance of existing software, trouble report handling and support cases etc.
Handling lab equipment.
Participate in system studies.
Drive continuous improvement of products and processes
Support with knowledge of IC software and verification in different situations like task forces, support questions and support to other parts of Ericsson.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

M.Sc., B.Sc. or similar in the Computer, Electrical or Telecommunication Science areas
