Lead Developer C++

Would you like to lead the development of a transaction-intensive system that is up 24 hours a day, 365 days a year?

This is a critical role for the development of our subsidiary company Taxisystem. You will work closely with our current Lead Developer and understand how the system is built. The platform is essential to our customers and also to Cabonline as a whole, so you will be in constant communication with internal and external stakeholders.

The position requires working with legacy code and also the ability to build a roadmap for how the system will scale up in the coming years.

Taxisystem has developed a traffic management system that runs a big part of Cabonline’s services. The system manages several million trips a year around Sweden and the Nordic region. It contains a large amount of integrations into different businesses, municipalities, counties and works as a hub for billing, customer orders, route planning for drivers and many other services.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• Good knowledge in C++ and at least another programming language like Java
• Ability to work independently and make constructive suggestions for improvements
• Experience from working with legacy code and ability to develop porting critical systems
• Good communication and ability to build internal and external relationships
• Ability to engage with new technologies and think long-term and qualitatively about the solutions and code you are working with
