Senior SW Developer Micro Services (198323)

Overview

The PDU CD (Product Development Unit, Component Development) develops common technology assets for multiple domains, including Micro Services for Application Development Platform (ADP), SW components as part of Component Based Architecture (CBA) and Licensing products to support new SW sales models.
The PDU CD is part of DU IT & Cloud, BU IT & Cloud Products and provide common functionality to applications running in IT cloud as well as Telecom Cloud VNFs with a goal to maximize return on investment in R&D by promoting reuse and reducing time to market.

Job Description

We are now looking for a developer who is flexible, enjoys challenges and eager to explore new areas and technologies. You are able to work despite high levels of uncertainty in direction, taking initiative and coming with ideas. You are keen on solving problems as they arise and have a genuine technical interest in understanding the systems requirements and behaviors. In a nutshell generating energy and results. The main work tasks are to systemize, design and implement our container-based micro services, providing RESTful APIs to applications. Our development is done with a reuse mindset to support and provide a development environment for all R&D organizations to develop new micro services in ADP.

Qualifications

Virtualization / container and cloud technologies such as KVM, Docker, Kubernetes, Apcera and micro services
Understanding of XML, REST, JSON, RAML, YAML etc
Shell scripting in Bash, csh, tcsh, Perl etc
Programming skills in Python and Java
Linux servers, usage, configuration etc (not kernel programming, but more than just ”user”)
Good understanding of open source and third party software integration
Your English is fluent and you are a pragmatic, people and solution oriented person who has proven communication and team skills.
