System developer for a broad role within the mus

ICE is looking for a System developer who wants to take part in developing and managing the applications in ICE?s transaction intensive and complex environment.
ICE as a company put great weight in competence development and good comfort. Among other things there is a possibility to be a part of a competence group who watch over and drive the development of tests, tools and work methods.
You will be given time to explore ICE?s technical environment and operations simultaneously as you quickly will be given the opportunity to work within exciting projects.
You will be part of a team that includes 14 developers and 6 designers with a good and open atmosphere where cooperation, support and independence with responsibility are natural.
The role
In the role as System developer there you?ll get the opportunity both to work with back-end development, business- & database logistics and UI. The role is flexible and you?ll be able to influence if to work within all parts of the development process or if to specialize yourself within a certain area. This implies that you are given the opportunity to work with everything from database modeling to requirement specifications to setting up of the structure in order to subsequently write the code. Together with your development colleagues and the architect you will take technical and the architectural decisions and you will also work close to the operations.
Implementation of an agile way of working, Scrum, is in a start-up phase and if you want there are good opportunities to be a driving force in the implementation and also to take on the role as Scrum Master.
The environment is developed by us and is based on a RPG platform but you will also work a lot with PHP and SQL. ICE has created a modern version of RPG where tables are removed and the development occurs with Syntax.
Background and personal qualities
To be successful in this role we want that you have either worked at least 1 year with development, have good skills within both back-end programming and PHP and have experience from SQL or that you have been working about 3 years with front-end development and thus have good skills in PHP and an interest to learn back-end programming.
Further experience and development in a transaction intense environment with ?high availability? systems is seen an additional qualification. Experience from an agile way of working and experience from RPG platforms and IBM products are qualifying.
Relevant University education is preferable but not required. You will also need excellent written and oral skills in English. Furthermore good knowledge in Swedish is preferable.
