QA Test Specialist

This is an extraordinary opportunity to join the world’s leading exchange company as a Test Engineer in the Nasdaq CSD Team at NASDAQ. You will be part of a team responsible for delivering a highly sophisticated Central Securities Depository (CSD) system to major CSDs around the world. It is an advanced system with very high demands on quality and performance and it is built with leading edge Java technology and tools.

You will work with our state of art trading and clearing platforms used to power markets in the Nordics as well as several large markets around the world, such as Singapore Exchange and Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Ltd.

You will work in a cross-functional scrum team consisting of Business Analysts, Software Developers and Test Engineers and as a team you will be responsible for taking new functions thru all steps in our QA. You will review requirements as well as design specifications in the scrum team and plan, execute, and analyze tests, trouble shoot errors, and recommend corrective measures. We work in close cooperation with our customers and in your role you will support them in customer early testing and acceptance testing.

The work is carried out in sprints that deliver new system functionality following a demo presentation at the end of each sprint. This position is an exciting opportunity to develop your personal, technical, and leadership skills while gaining an extensive knowledge of the exchange industry in general and the CSD domain in particular.

University degree in computer science, information technology, software development or similar
At least 3 years of work experience in manual testing
An interest in automatic testing
Effective communicator as the role will require ability to liaise with development / business teams and with clients
Excellent language skills in written and spoken English
Experience in working in Agile projects
Experience from working with financial systems especially clearing/settlement systems
