Nasdaq Stockholm AB is now looking for a Support Technician with a strong technical background and passion for solving technical issues for customers.

The position is located in Stockholm where you will sit in the renovated former Ford assembly plant in Frihamnen, in our spacious and open plan factory-style campus, which houses 700 of Nasdaq’s IT talent across many departments including engineering, architecture, development and quality assurance.

As a Support Technician you will work with the daily technical support for our exchange members. Solving both standard and complex technical problems ranging from API protocols to connectivity and market data solutions. Together with your colleagues in the Technical Support team you will be building and maintaining strong client relationships and providing day-to-day client support. The team is part of a larger department comprising of three teams with closely linked support roles; this department is then part of Global Market Operations. Global Market Operations have teams based in Stockholm, Philadelphia and Vilnius.

In this role, you will also be involved in internal projects and release cycles, providing both support to the organization as well as testing new functionality. You will work to react and try to be proactive to client’s problems and will be a key person to identify and troubleshoot issues of minor and critical levels. You will achieve this through the developing and maintaining a support service processes plan and making recommendations for operational best practices for technical solutions.

Education Required: Degree qualified in a discipline related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
1 to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably from banking.
Understanding and skilled in Linux, UNIX
General interest in programming
Ability to prioritize, organize and complete work tasks within given timelines
Good interpersonal skills and a strong communicative ability in English, both verbally and in writing, Swedish language would be a merit
Excellent teamwork skills
