We aggregate millions of product reviews every day from more than 3,000 international websites and magazines.
Brands use our online tools to manage their review content and understand consumer opinions.
Consumers can visit our websites, currently in 19 countries and languages, to discover what products are the best for them.
Together with European insurance services provider VanAmeyde.com we developed a cloud based product appraisal tool ValueChecker.net, that is now quickly becoming popular in Insuretech.

Technology platform
alaTest collects, analyzes and distributes massive amounts of product data. We employ statistical analysis of review data, data linkage for matching between products and reviews, natural language processing, data and opinion mining. For data delivery, we have a platform using open source software like MySQL and Solr.
The focus of the Core Technology team is analysis, data mining, grouping and summarizing of review data. We analyze product catalogs and reviews in 15+ languages and our main job is to match a product review to the right products. This is a highly challenging task, and as a member of our team you will apply all your skills from statistics, data mining, natural language processing and software engineering. We also work with Business Intelligence and Data Visualization to create new ways of looking at our vast database of reviews and product information. One specifically valuable outcome is Opinion Mining and Sentiment Analysis, which are used both on our websites and for our B2B clients as Market Intelligence.

The role
As Head of Technology / CTO you will be responsible to grow and lead our team of developers, make architectural decisions, oversee software development and be an active part of the management

Requirements
• A Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Sciences
• A solid understanding of Linux/Unix, SQL and Open Source software development, ideally Python
• Knowledge of RESTful API and JSON/XML formats
• Experience with frontend frameworks (Angular2 prefered) and microservices
• Experience with Lucene / Solr / ElasticSearch and/or Cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) is a plus
• 15+ years work experience, with a few years as Team Lead or CTO
• Strong experience with database design and performance optimization
• Creative and efficient problem solver
• Excellent Leadership skills

You must be authorized to work in Sweden
