As a part of Scania’s transformation from a traditional vehicle manufacturer to a provider of sustainable transport solutions we at Vehicle Service Information have embarked on an exciting journey to deliver solutions and services that meets new demands. This comes with new ways of thinking, working processes, tools etc.
 
Service Support Solutions within Vehicle Service Information are responsible for research and concept development within the fields of troubleshooting, service planning and technical support. Part of that is generating insights and knowledge within this field from all data events generated by Scania’s connected workshops and products.
 
Job description
You are one of our Data Scientist that will contribute with advanced analytics methods in close collaboration with our development teams. This is done in our daily operation or together with external parties within our research projects and will involve working with teams and individuals across Scania’s organisation from R&D, Sales & Services, Commercial Operations to our Business Units.
 
Close collaboration with these teams, individuals and assignors is a key when you lead assignments to identify and understand the business needs and to deliver the right analysis. You will also collaborate with the R&D Analytics team and other data scientists at Scania discussing things like best practice, tips & hints, new techniques etc.   
 
Your profile
You as a person are a team player who likes joint challenges. You have the ability to communicate, visualise and explain your knowhow and conclusions in an understandable way to others. Your curiosity, drive and desire to get things done in time, together with other expertise’s, brings positive energy to the team. You are organised and of course analytical!
 
You also have experiences like:

coding skills, R, Python, SQL
knowledge of data structures and experience of analysis with large datasets
familiarity with statistical concepts such as distributions, maximum likelihood etc.
decision trees, probability networks, association rules,
clustering, regression, and neural networks

 
You have a M.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related field or you have equivalent practical experience.
 
You also have good knowledge in English language which is our corporate language.
