We have an exciting opportunity for a senior developer in the GPU modelling team. Our GPU models are state-of-the-art representations of our hardware products. They are used by several teams within the company and they are delivered as a product on its own.

We develop in C/C++ and in a Linux environment. Working in the GPU modelling team, your role will primarily be to model the functional and performance aspects of our GPUs. You will be working with dedicated and talented ARM engineers across the globe. Your work will have a large impact on the quality of our GPU products and ultimately on the success of ARM.

Skills & Requirements

Education & Qualifications

Bachelors, Masters or PhD (computer science or electronics engineering) with a good academic record

In order to be successful in the role, you have the following skills:

• Excellent knowledge of C/C++

• Experience with UNIX and scripting languages (e.g. python)

• Understanding of hardware architecture (e.g. CPU, GPU, caches, memory)

• Good English communication skills, oral and written

• Good problem solving and debugging skills

• Willingness to travel occasionally to other ARM locations such as Cambridge, UK

 It would be great if you also have some of the following:

• Experience in version control and continuous integration systems (e.g. svn, git, gerrit, Jenkins)

• Experience in embedded operating systems, device drivers, microprocessors

• Experience with standards such as OpenCL, OpenGL ES, Direct3D, DirectX, EGL

• Good knowledge of full software life-cycle including specification design, test and documentation

• Experience in large, multi-site software development projects
