Our development department, consisting of four back- and front-end developers, is looking for their new team lead. As a company we help our clients to optimize their online marketing, and our development department is a key part in automating and scaling the optimization processes used. The department works closely with our data science team and is responsible for building web-based tools and systems based on their findings.

In this role your main responsibilities will consist of leading and organising the development department’s work, projects, and strategic plan both when it comes to development and technical processes. You will work hands on with Python and the Django framework. As our company is young there is a lot of room for setting your own mark when it comes to what technologies and products you choose to work with, how you organise the department, what methods you will use, and the prioritisation of our strategic plan.

To thrive in the role we think you have a broad technical background and experience from leading diverse teams. As a leader you are inspirational, motivational, well organised and with a good sense of seeing the bigger picture when it comes to synergies and results. You should be able to lead innovation and change in our organisation while remaining customer focused and delivering value to the business. You will need strong communication skills both when it comes to your own team but also to communicate with the organisation and our stakeholders. The role requires you to be proactive while acting in the context of an agreed strategic technical plan but also handling day-to-day challenges that can arise. We think you have a background in roles where you have gained good knowledge of both back- and front-end development and have experience in connecting these to gain the results needed by the organisation. The role will report to our CEO.

Key qualifications:
Bachelor degree within computer science, engineering, or similar
Strong leadership skills, 2-3 years experience from leading development teams
Practical experience from programming with an objective oriented language
Solid programming background
Strong communication skills
Experience with web service development and deployment
