Junior designer

In this role of a junior designer you will be responsible to assist the team by observing and participating in creating strong collections according to the direction set out by the Creative Director.

The work environment at Acne Studios is fast-paced and energetic; no day is ever the same. You will be based at Acne Studios design studio in Paris, but you will also have commitments that require travelling.

Main responsibilities

• Express the vision built collectively, and create distinctive and strong products and collections while keeping the essence of the brand’s DNA
• Do researches, (vintage) shopping, competitive benchmark and translate new emerging stylistic trends into the company culture
• Propose design sketches, color palettes and mood boards in regards seasonal concepts
• Keeping collection boards and overviews up to date
• Preparing for meetings and presentations and support in fittings
• Maintain a close relationship with product development team

Desired qualifications

• Higher education, BA or MA in fashion/textile design
• A minimum of 2 year professional experience preferable from high end fashion brands within women’s wear
• Excellent language skills, fluency in English is a requirement and French a merit
• Advanced Adobe skills, with the ability to use Photoshop and InDesign to a good standard
• Good sketching skills and sense of proportions
• Cultured, refined, inspiring and a creative individual
• Flexible, energetic and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Cooperative, positive mind set and excellent communication skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
