We are staffing company, currently looking for IT Ops Specialist (Mainframe) for a leading bank. For this position you must have ITIL v3 (Foundation).
Workplace: Gdynia, Poland
Description:
To support the production instance of one of Customer applications (incident investigation and resolution, root cause analysis) with following sub-tasks:
a) Provide 2nd level support to Service Desk and 3rd level support to IT-Supporters
b) Check mainframe logs and act accordingly
c) Handles batch job issues - investigate and understand the data
d) Act on a global level and may take part in on duty calls
e) Execute SQL scripts in QMF
f) Check Outlook production mail boxes used by the Secure Mail
g) Check log files in production via Splunk
h) Check database performance
i) Access to a couple of utility applications aimed at assisting in fixing some of the problems
Technical skills/knowledge:

-- DB2 QMF
-- Cobol
-- Splunk
-- Outlook and Secure Mail
Requirements:
Good communication and fluency in English.
