Academic Work is looking for a Senior Animator on behalf of our client ELK Studios. ELK Studios provides casino games for online gambling and has a great passion for creating beautiful art and impressive animations. They have over hundred of thousands of players who are enjoying their games which generates numerous of transactions per second.

ELK Studios have their studio in the heart of Stockholm by the central station in newly renovated facilities. The whole company includes 25 employees. They are now expanding and is therefore in the need of an Animator who will work within the Game Studio, which includes 12 employees with different roles such as Illustrator, Graphic Artists, Art Director (AD), Developers and Animators. You will work closely with the whole Game Studio, especially with AD and Developers. You will be reporting to the Studio Manager, Marie.

Your main responsibilities as an Animator will be to work closely with concept, design and art team to collaboratively bring characters and objects to life. You will also create and implement in-game animations, which are mainly in 2D, and create visual effects. Does it sound interesting? Read more under job description.

Academic Work is responsible for the recruitment process but the candidate that proceed will be employed directly by ELK Studios.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
As an Animator you will be central in the development of new games, working closely with input/feedback from Graphic Artists, AD and Developers among others within the Game Studio. ELK Studios is working with agile methodology using sprints. Together you will collaboratively bring characters and objects to life.

For example, you will:

* Create and implement animations and add dynamic elements and visual effects to static assets in a meticulous manner, in different formats
* Create intricate but conceptually sound animations that enhance the player experience
* Creatively and proactively solve resource- restricted tech challenges while working on the art assets that make it in game
* Helping to develop the animation pipeline, making recommendations and ensuring animators have the tools and support necessary to best achieve artistic objectives

This position suits you who have experience from game development in a senior role. You have understanding of core principles of animation and how they translate to games.

VI SÖKER DIG SOM
* Has a vocational qualification in animation and effects

* Has at least 1 year of experience, preferably within game development
* Has strong knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop
* Has strong understanding of the animation development pipeline, including storyboarding, blocking and polish
* Are fluent in English, in both oral and written since it’s the main language ELK Studio uses for documentation etc.

It will be considered an additional qualification if you have knowledge in Maya, have been working with gambling or have experience of working resource efficient. It is also considered if you have 3 years or more experience from game development in a senior role.

As a person, you are creative and innovative to find solutions which maximizes the game experience in relation to the technical limitations. You are also self- driven, responsible and detail- oriented. You have a strong ability to solve problems and tackle challenges. Since the Game Studio work closely together you are a team player who works great with other disciplines. Of course you also share our passion for making the best gambling experiences ever!
