At the moment, we are looking for the right person to fill an opening as Web Developer in our New Business Applications team. In this role you will have the pleasure to develop products for Axis upcoming success stories!
WHAT WILL YOU DO? As a web developer in our Applications team you will work in a team who loves cooperation and sharing. We are involved in all steps from early concept design to completed new products ready for launch. It is a challenging mission that we take on together with technical knowledge and teamwork. We aim to create an intuitive and functional web interface to meet the end user requirements, but also to have a well-designed architecture to handle future features and product needs.
Since we address new markets and handle several products the development follows agile principles to ensure that we can adapt and learn in a high pace.
We work closely with firmware development teams, our product managers and others to ensure a great experience.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We think our new colleague likes to work in a self-organizing, skilled development team. You probably have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar and a couple of years of experience with software development.
We think that you, like us, have a keen interest in web application development and that you have good skills in JavaScript and experience working against APIs and services. We hope you want to join our team and share that experience with us. We work with React/Redux and Grommet to engineer our next generation web.
Experience of UX design and being able to conceptualize, design and pitch ideas that win business are considered as a merit. Experience with GUI programming in embedded or mobile application environment is also considered a merit.
OUR NEW BUSINESS TEAM The New Business team is a unique group within Axis. The group is responsible for both evaluating new business ideas from a technical and a commercial perspective, and product development to offer customers the best products on the market. The team has market oriented business development resources as well as product development resources. The team’s focus is on ideas outside Axis current focus on Network Video. The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity, which will require a flexible and open co-operation with R&D and other departments.
