3D/2D Animator

Job Summary

Look and feel is central to the player experience, and we aim to make the best looking casino games the world has ever seen. As an animator at Relax, you will create stunning visual effects that come alive and excite our players. You have a profound understanding of animation principles, color theory, user experiences and visual effects. Fast conceptual iterations come as natural to you as rendering final work and implementing optimized in game animations to the finished product.

This job is all about that wow-factor, increasing game anticipation and enhancing excitement of winning streaks.

Our studio will have several game projects running simultaneously so expect the freedom to dynamically work with a wide variety of projects and art styles as well as contributing to several new and old IP’s.

Responsibilities
- Creating 2D and 3D skeletal animations, rigs, basic geometry and textures
- Creating stunning effects that reward players as well as communicate in-game information
- Playing a big role in the concept phase and animating proof of concepts
- Optimizing assets for file size and performance
Job requirements
- You have completed education or equivalent work experience as an animator
- Experience in Maya/ After Effects / Spine/ WebGL
- You thrive in a fast paced environment and embrace having many projects running at the same time
- An excellent understanding of visual communication and user experience
- Passionate about games, with an understanding of game-play mechanics
- You’re a positive team player that gladly speaks your mind
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

- 3D modelling, lighting and rendering skills
- Experience with VFX and particles
- Experience from JavaScript and HTML5 game development
- Experience in agile methodologies

As a 2D/3D animator at Relax you will be working on market leading game projects as part of the existing game team in Malmö. You will be involved in a range of new projects focusing on character design and animations, symbol and production animation as well as assisting with motion design and graphics.

Location

The Malmö game studio is perfectly located on Lilla torg, right in the middle of the beautiful old parts of the city. It’s a five minute walk from the central station and all types of shopping and restaurants can be found right outside our doorstep.
