DS needs to be reinforced with a Software Configuration Manager. You are expected to take lead in developing and maintaining environment for Continuous Integration. This includes driving automation, improvements, studies as well as support tasks. The work spans over many areas within software engineering such as: GIT/ClearCase, build systems, CI-tools, Software Quality tools, product and design environment handling.

Hiring Organization Overview

DUCN PDU Converged Core is responsible to develop IMS, Internet Multimedia Subsystem. IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) are mandatory products in Ericsson’s Voice Over LTE and Multimedia telephony solution. Moving to 4G/LTE and beyond, the number of customers and active subscribers using IMS is growing rapidly. IMS offers a standardized way to deliver convenient IP-based consumer and enterprise services to fixed, mobile and cable community - enabled by one common core and control. We are located in Kista/Stockholm close to the Ericsson headquarter office. We have a lean and agile working environment where you are able to influence and make a difference. We work in X-functional teams where everyone is flexible to perform several tasks.
The current main solutions are VoLTE, BusinessCom, Flexible RCS, PSTN to IP and VisualCom. IMS nodes CSCF, MTAS, SBG, MGC, PGM, EME, WCG and BCE are also sold as standalone products as part of customer solutions. IMS is now taking off with key deliveries to major operators in Japan and U.S.
PDU CC have centralized development environment & services in one unit called Development Services (DS).

Its responsibilities are:

Continuous Integration environment and wow, drive CI deployment for the PDU
Development of CDE, Common Development Environment. Our CI-framework.
Development Infrastructure, drive, dimension and operate lab&hub environment (together with ITTE)
Software CM, GIT/Clearcase operations, automated build systems, release handling, design environment provisioning
Tools provisioning, E.g Loadgenerators, automation framework

Job Summary

DS needs to be reinforced with a Software Configuration Manager. You should be genuinely interested in all aspects of software testing and software development. Good understanding of programming language, continuous integration and continuous delivery process with the test automation as a base. You have a positive attitude and a strong drive. The facts that you embrace change and are always up for a challenge will help us succeed with the products. You should appreciate contribution to a creative and innovative environment.

Qualifications

You have several years’ experience from software development
You are service minded and have a pragmatic and solution-oriented way of working..
You believe in and have a genuine interest to get Continues Integration working.
You have proven communication and team skills.
Broad competence within software engineering.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Experience of IMS is desireable.
Competence matching most of the following areas:
Excellent in CM tools such as GIT, Clearcase.
Excellent in SCM operations, branch&merge strategies and operations, label&release handling.
Excellent Linux and script languages, shell, perl, python.
Experience with build systems and tools.
Experience of continuous integration & test tools.
Experience in unit/module/basic test, code quality assurance and test automation.
Experience in development environment handling.
Proven skills in cross functional team work, preferably in Agile/Scrum/Kanban teams.
Experience in product handling according to Ericsson standards.
