We’ve migrated away from physical data centers and use 150-200 cloud-based auto-scaling instances to follow the daily and seasonal production of our clients with a current peak load of 8000 images per day. We freely innovate over our code base split in 100 services. And we are not done. We continue to invest 30% of our income on further developing our products.

As a small team, every developer truly makes a difference from the front-end to the back, as well as creating and modifying GUIs of internal and external
tooling. The backend platform is deployed on top of Google Cloud Platform, automatically scaling to reflect our client’s seasonal demand as well as giving us a platform for easy deployment. The main programming language is Java 8, with advanced image recognition algorithms implemented in C++, and web front ends in Javascript.

Other technologies used includes Spring Boot, Redis, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Tomcat and RabbitMQ.

We are developing a DevOps culture and platform, and to support this we are using technologies like Jira, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Alpine, COS, Ubuntu, StackDriver, Kibana, BigQuery, Google Data Studio and others.

Your days at Looklet:

Nurturing a DevOps culture, every developer is responsible for quality. We believe your role is to challenge quality at the next level, finding the tricky outliers. Together with the team, you would be suggesting system and process what problems to look for and how to find them most efficiently.

Your role would include some of the following items:

Doing manual release and regression testing
Monitoring and follow-ups on status of nightly builds
Creating new and extending current test protocols
Doing exploratory testing
Helping and inspiring developers in writing better JUnit tests
Creating JUnit tests
Analyse fixed bugs to create regression tests
Automizing test efforts

How to be successful in the recruitment process:

3 years+ of software development in either quality assurance or development
2 years of quality assurance experience, driving quality, creating tests
Java development
