Lead Software Engineer

The team consisting of a very skilled group of developers working together to form the core functional and non-functional development of the Multi matching engine Trading solution.

Nasdaq Multi Matching Engine Trading solution is a large distributed solution built using a verity of technologies. We face challenges with robustness and performance in respect of latency and throughput and the commonly used technologies are Java, C/C++, Maven, WAF, Team City, Spring, GIT, SVN. Nasdaq Multi Matching Engine Trading solution powers several big exchanges around the world, for example in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and our own Nordic market.

The role entails responsibilities such as:

•Developing new complex functionality and maintain excising codebase in an environment handling large volumes of data and demands for high availability
•Coaching and mentoring others and provide technical leadership to the team
•Adopting a holistic view of the entire system layout and configuration
•Reviewing business requirements and software design specifications
•Working with together with customer as a technical expert

This is a regular full time position located in Stockholm, Sweden. Desired start date is as soon as possible. As the selection and interview process is ongoing, please submit your application in English as soon as possible.

Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications:

In order to do all this successfully you must have experience and understanding of how to manage a customer in a professional way and on the other side have a broad technical background and understand the technology! You should have approx. 10 years of software development where parts of it envolves Java and experience from large distributed high availability systems. Experience of financial industry would be a merit.

•Proactively communicate with stakeholders
•Helping the team produce high value and high quality products

Skills, Requirements and Competencies:

As a person you have good social skills and like to interact with customers, both internally and externally. You also are proficient in motivating and leading an agile team in a matrix organization.

You should have strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. We also expect that your English would be fluent, both written and verbal.
