Data scientist

Storytel is Northern Europe's largest audio book service for mobile phone. We are offering thousands of audiobooks and e-books in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Poland, Finland & Russia, and is expected to to enter several new markets within this year. About the role

As a Data Scientist here at Storytel you will look at data with a mathematical mind-set with profound skills like data mining, data analysis and statistics. You'll be able to interpret and represent data mathematically and often times act as the liaison between business decision makers and IT enablers. Through an advanced knowledge of analytics, machine learning, programming and engineering, the Data Scientist can uncover patterns and make future predictions. You'll work closely with different functions and business units to provide data driven answers to complex strategic challenges.

Other than the above, you'll also be:

- Conducting various advanced analyses

- Work with predictive modelling, churn prediction, recommendations

- Having a key role in internal projects, to understand how we can create the best content

- Work on all stages of data science projects from understanding data to implementing the solutions into products and service offerings

Your profile

We are looking for someone that has:

- A Master degree within mathematics, computer science or similar field

- 2-5 years work experience from similar jobs

- We would love for you to be a “nerd” within big data and data mining

- Knowledge in/able to learn SAS data mining tools

- Hand-on experience with modeling/development software (SAS, R, SPSS, Python)

Its beneficial if you:

- As many of our coworkers, have an appreciation of books or audiobooks

- Have experience in SAS
