The main responsibility as Lead Developer is to lead the software development work done in a cross-disciplinary team. Being the role model for other developers in your team in terms of IKEA culture and ways of working. We expect a lot from a Lead developer, being an excellent coder with the ability to quickly adapt to market trends and with the willingness to share with the other team members is crucial. In this role, you are a vital part of our Development & Test team reporting to one of the development managers.
You will:
- Work in an agile team setup with a mix of IT and Business competences.
- Be involved in design teams implementing our new solutions.
- Be responsible for the team software quality, design and maintainability.
- Be active in the areas continuous improvement efforts both by proposing new ideas and by implementing the agreed initiatives in your team.
- Be part of developing features assigned to your cross- disciplinary team
- Use your experience to help the development team to find better ways of doing things and improve their skills.

We are looking for several experienced lead developers to help us develop our new web- and sales order management systems. Today you are probably working as a Senior- or Lead Developer on a Java EE platform. Your experience with complex integrations is a strong merit. You have strong analytical skills and the ability to see the high level picture and still enjoy working with the details.
You have a mature approach to handle changing priorities and communicate complex topics in a pedagogic way.
As a person you are open to new ideas and constantly looking for improvements. You enjoy working together in the team to deliver business value to our customers and know the importance of building cross functional relationships with both internal stakeholders and vendors.
