Senior Backend Developer

During the spring 2017, Tobii acquired the market research company Sticky and their biometric cloud platform, developed for marketers, agencies, market researchers, web designers, and other teams vested in getting fast understanding of human’s visual attention and how they respond to marketing campaigns and media.

Tobii Pro now wants to expand the existing and innovative development team behind the service by hiring a Senior Backend Developer to drive development of the service even further.

The role and responsibilities

In this position, you will be an active and contributing force in designing and developing the backend system of the service. You will work with the rest of the team to:

Get clarification on business requirements and coordinate work with other teams to ensure a smooth development process
Implement solutions including code development, database design, API development and documentation
Identify critical improvement areas and drive refactoring when needed
Ensure high quality solutions by implementing unit tests and supporting the creation and design of integration, load and user acceptance tests
Ensure high security and data integrity by utilizing proven tools, techniques and best practices
Support operations by identifying, researching and resolving performance and production issues

We are looking for someone with

More than 5 years of professional software development experience
3+ years of experience from Python development and developing as well as deploying apps on the AWS platform
Professional experience from designing REST based API:s.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL, non-relational databases and Jenkins.
