Data Engineer / Back-end developer

Strossle is a rapidly growing, venture capital backed, digital media company with global leadership ambitions. We are looking to strengthen our machine learning team with a back-end engineer / data engineer to help us develop our infrastructure for data handling and efficient modeling further.

Would you be excited about being part of developing a cutting edge machine learning platform with data management, tools for our data scientists to be as effective as possible in developing new and even better models, sa well as systems for serving the models in production? Then we have a really exiting opening for you in our machine learning team! Your main task will be to maintain and extend our machine learning platform for exploring data, developing and testing new models, and making sure the productionized models are running smoothly. It is a really exciting combination of system design and architecture, data bases, big data solutions like Spark, collecting and presenting performance metrics, etc.

Requirements

• B. Sc. or M. Sc. in computer science or similar field
• Fluent in Python
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Experience in designing and building systems and micro services

• C++ (or other compiled language) is a great bonus
• Apache Spark is a good bonus
• Understanding of machine learning is also a great bonus
