A key responsibility for the Clearing & Nordic Markets Team is to develop technological solutions for our CSD (Central Securities Depository) system, a vital part in the transaction chain. Nasdaq is now looking to add a highly skilled Senior Back End Developer to the team. Reporting to the Senior Manager Software Development, you will be integrally involved in developing robust high quality software, with ever increasing performance requirements and simultaneously contribute to improve agility and time to market in a changing business and regulatory environment. You will work with highly motivated and skilled colleagues in an international and dynamic environment. Your main responsibilities will be to design and develop new applications based on the latest Java tools and technologies as well as take part in the continuous re-design of our back end systems making sure we stay current with trends and technologies.

We are looking to get in touch with candidates that quickly understand complex systems and are able to use experience and knowledge in software design and development to help us create the best clearing and settlement products in the market. We believe that you have about 5 years of experience working in Java, Spring, JDBC, Hibernate, Junit and Linux. However, if you are a hard core back end developer in some other technology suite, we're sure you'll be able to master this as well. Any experience of working with high volume transaction environments and improvements of the same is meriting, as is experience from working with financial systems, especially clearing systems. Furthermore, we expect you to be an effective communicator as the role will require ability to liaise with development/business teams as well as with clients.
