Function Developer within R&D at Scania

At Scania you will play an important role in driving sustainable transport solutions through energy-efficient powertrains. Within Powertrain Control System, there are possibilities to work in the entire development chain from idea to finished product with streamlining our engines and gearboxes, alternative fuels and electrified powertrains.

We now wish to strengthen our team in Södertälje with more engineers within the fields of functional development, programming or testing of embedded systems.
 
Your tasks
As a functional developer within R&D at Scania, you will be able to work in a dynamic team where you participate in the entire development process of the functions you are working with.
 
The role will give you the opportunity to work with developing functions within powertrain and test software and embedded systems. You will moreover get a unique chance to participate in understanding and developing the entire process, from idea to development and testing in our vehicles.
 
We put great emphasis on having a work environment where everyone participates in driving projects forward. As a new employee you will receive the full backing and support from all team members which will allow you to develop your on competencies while helping the team reach its goals.
 
Your profile
We see that you are an engineer or similar with a couple of years of experience regarding development of embedded systems, automatic control, or Signal processing. Experience with C, Matlab, Simulink or Stateflow are meritorious, as well as experience of working with mechatronics. As a person you are structured and possess a great desire to work with solving complex problems, as well as being a great team player.
 
Fluent in English and Swedish is a requirement, alternatively ambitions of learning Swedish within a short period of time. Holding of a B-driver’s license is also a requirement.
