Software Customization Engineer - Crew Support team

Within the Crew Support department at Jeppesen we work in close cooperation with our customers to continuously improve and adapt their complex installation to fit their changing business needs. We are looking for someone to join one of our skilled support teams to implement enhancements for our existing customers. We believe you have strong communication skills both inside a team and towards clients, and can explain decisions and technical solutions in a pedagogical and confident way.

Your main focus will be development tasks, including understanding the client’s needs, capturing requirements, writing design specifications, developing software, verifying quality and testing.

You will be based in Gothenburg and are expected to travel to our customers from time to time.

Knowledge and Skills
• MSc in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Physics Engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years Software development experience in Python
• Strong analytical and software development skills and a talent for and interested in programming
• Experienced in customer interaction and requirement gathering
• Consider quality and test as a natural part of software development. Experience of test tools is an asset
• Experience of working within a scrum team or in similar agile project setups
• Familiar with Linux environment and shell scripting
• Fluency in English
