At the DUX Attribute Group we set the bar for what a car user experience can be. Our mission is to secure that Volvo creates products and services that exceeds our customer’s expectations within the UX area. We find out the customer needs, translate them into attribute input in car programs and continuously validate the progress of the technical solutions.

The work is done in close cooperation with design department, interaction design & active safety functions, as well as vehicle program management and suppliers, in a dynamic and international environment.

A DUX Attribute Leader is responsible to develop the attribute from strategy to product and takes a leading role in securing that our future products will continue having user friendly, relevant and desirable digital functionality. This is done by performing the tasks described below.

Main responsibilities
* Long term DUX strategies, methodology development
* Define and prioritize the current and future customer DUX-needs on main markets in order to reach business goals and objectives
* Translate the needs into measurable requirements
* Monitor and evaluate competitors, within automotive as well as consumer electronics
* Planning and executing end-user tests in several different environments: HMI lab, desktop/paper prototypes and in car mules
* Analysis of test results, turning facts and insights from the tests into actionable design recommendations that bring simplicity and beauty to Volvo cars
* Taking lead in reporting the attribute status in the car programs (incl. preparing/presenting/recommending improvements)

Required qualifications
* Ability and experience to lead teams
* Knowledge of in human-centric design approaches and best practices
* Experience of usability research
* Interest and product knowledge within the automotive sector as well as in consumer electronics
* In-depth understanding and interest in digital services, interaction design and user experience
* Driver’s license (category B)
* MSc in Cognitive Science, Engineering or equivalent technical background

* Strong analytical sense
* Ability of strategic thinking
* Ability to handle complex situations and tasks
* Good communication skills
* Courage and ability to push and argue for fact based input into programs
