About the position
Basefarms OS & Support systems team is responsible for operating and developing Linux based infrastructure in all Basefarms datacenters. This includes, among other things, DNS, LDAP, Radius and CA UIM.

Your main responsibility will be hosting of our live systems that are crucial for Basefarm. You will also be working with automatization and development of our live systems, and be the "go-to" person and ambassador for the department at the Swedish office. However, your work will not be limited to working towards the Swedish market; you will serve and be a key player for the whole organization.

Who are you?
We believe that you have excellent skills in hosting Linux systems and you are preferably working in Operations today. You possess good knowledge of infrastructure components like network, storage and virtualization and are experienced and methodical in scripting and programming. Good language skills in Swedish is an advanatage.

Skills and knowledge in some of the following technologies and concepts will be important:

• Cassandra
• Puppet
• Jenkins
• Hadoop
• Apache
• Python
• Perl
• LDAP
• Distributed file systems, distributed databases
• Solution architecture
• Change processes
• Monitoring

Your personal characteristics and attitude are essential for this position. We want a creative problem solver who has the ability of realizing ideas and solutions. You are perseverance and well understood with that hard work is needed to reach set goals and desirable results. With a holistic perspective, you are able to make decisions based on what is best for the business and the organization.

At times, you will need to argument for your cause, and at other times admit and adapt to other better suited ideas and/or solutions.
