Front end developer

Starcounter’s apps team works on bringing modern Web standards to in-memory computing.
On a typical work day,
- We create Custom Elements that encapsulate complex UX patterns in simple to use tags.
- We develop a JavaScript library that creates a two-way data binding with the server (Palindrom).
- We research a HTML layout composition engine that allows to remix web apps using Shadow DOM.
- We set up Continuous Integration so that all our work is automatically tested in all browsers.
- We communicate with the Front-End community and publish our work on GitHub.
- We attend and speak at conferences and W3C meetups across Europe.

Your job is to create the front end of these applications. It´s done with Web Components using modern JavaScript, Polymer, HTML5 and CSS3. You will work with our customers to create data visualizations in D3.js.
Web Components that you make are open-sourced on GitHub and put to work in multiple apps. You provide reference apps for other programmers, to be published on our website.
You will also lead the work of setting standards to guide our business partners in building apps with a consistent experience.
Furthermore you will be working close to our product development team in order to feedback from customers and improve the Starcounter web platform.

You are passionate about using HTML5 and the latest Web standards to build business apps. You want to work with people who share your passion to create apps that look as great as on the surface, as in code. You are open and communicative. Like to share ideas and constantly trying to improve yourself as well as people around you.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Senior (5+ years) experience with building web applications
Javascript (vanilla and library based solutions)
HTML5 (web components, Polymer)
CSS3 (transitions)
Build systems (experience with grunt, gulp or similar task runner)
Representational State Transfer (REST, JSON)

Smart and gets things done
Attention to details
Good communication skills in English

APPRECIATED
Full stack development experience with any programming language
UX design skills
Experienced in unit testing
