You will be a member of our team located in Lundby in Gothenburg but work in a global context supporting mainly Global Trucks Technology. As a part of this team you will work in close collaboration with various stakeholders and end-users, mainly from the Business side, but also internal IT Services, to ensure fit for purpose solutions.

Role Description
You will manage both application development as well as managing complex user support cases. As we believe in self-organized teams and empowerment you will take responsibility for applications from infrastructure to end user. Of course supported by the team with all skills needed to provide quality solutions to Volvo Group. That means that you will have the opportunity to work in various roles with various tasks. Daily work consists of coding, testing, business analyzing and infrastructure understanding.

Required Knowledge and Experience
•Simulation and calculation skills
•Tools: Simulink and Matlab
•Programming languages: Angular, C++, PHP or JAVA (web development using Apache server)
•System integration: MQ (VCOM)
•Database experience: ORACLE
•Knowledge about product and product structure (KOLA) is a plus
•Fluent in English
•Knowledge about Test/test automation is a big +

Who are you?
We believe you have a background as calculation engineer, or maybe you are an IT developer with experience in simulation and CAE? Either way, your expertise and background makes you the right candidate for this position!

With experience from programming and data bases you will manage this role well. If you have knowledge about test automation and/or product structure it’s an advantage and will help you get into the job faster.

In order to perform well in this role you need to have an agile mind set. This due to your wide and different roles which demands flexibility, customer focus and delivering value. The agile mindset is also important since you will be working in a global, constantly changing and challenging company with high ambitions when it comes to delivery and quality.
