Software Developer Propulsion Testing
The section Propulsion Systems Testing is responsible for test cells in which we develop, optimize and perform durability tests of Combustion Engines, Electric Motors, Transmissions and Batteries. Right now we are building new test systems to support future needs of electrified propulsions. The section consists of 6 groups responsible for strategies, investments and operations.
The group (91824) Propulsion Testing, Systems & Methods is part of the Propulsion Systems Testing section and consists of 14 engineers responsible for the Software in Control Systems for propulsion test cells.
We are divided into three work areas, models for vehicle simulations (eg HIL), test cell control (methods and sequence) and quality assured measurement data delivery.
We are now looking for a Software Developer for Propulsion Testing in the area test cell control.
We are currently introducing a new software system (ORION) for test cells controls, this software will be implemented in all test cells as a master control system. As a Software Devloper Engineer you will be responsible for function development, interface to other systems in the test cell and scripting of new test methods. SW version management and maintenance processes are included.
Main responsibilities:
* BAM, Business Application Manager for the ACS software (ORION)
* Responsible for implementing SW in test cell systems
* Troubleshooting in test cells
* Responsible for quality assurance of new SW versions
* Be the expert regarding questions from users
* Spread information to users through, sharepoint and presentations
* Plan and manage activities through a cross functional team to bring out new functionality
* Communicating with developing team and suppliers
* Participate in development of new testing methods
* Responsible for implementing automated test processes in system test cells
* Document automated test processes and SW version management
Required qualifications
* M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or SW Engineering or equal experience
* Knowledge in software architecture design, Networks, Protocols and Control systems
* Experience with using Python
* Experience from setting up test sequences and analysis of test results
* Knowledge of measuring systems
* Knowledge in CAN communication
* Fluent in English both written and spoken
Meritorious
* Prior experience from testing or similar work is meritorious
* Knowledge in Internal Combustion Engine development is meritorious
* Knowledge in engine calibration methods is meritorious
Personal qualities
We are looking for a person with strong background from previously mentioned qualifications, but at the same time someone who is service oriented and customer focused. You should also have communication skills, be relation oriented and have a drive to encourage people you work with. Further, you need to possess a drive for changes and implementations and be engaged to the tasks that you are responsible for.
