In brief

Nordnet IT is divided into Development and Operations. Development consists of a number of development teams and one continuous delivery (CD) team. The teams are independent, product oriented, agile, full stack teams. The CD team has a key role in supporting both dev and infrastructure teams. It supplies the toolchain for development along with frameworks and guidelines for general development by acting as technical experts in both system and runtime design.

We develop on Windows or Mac and Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux in production. 

This is part of the role

We are already rolling out releases of high performance mission critical code in production during trading hours, but you will need to help us bring it to the next level. You will continuously improve the delivery process, toolchain and deployment design in cooperation with the development and infrastructure teams – and in doing this, developing, integrating and maintaining components for our delivery pipelines. This includes having smooth setup of development environment, fast repeatable builds, collecting coverage metrics and of course deployment to all environments.

Your background

To be a great match for this role and team, we think that you have extensive experience in continuous delivery/continuous integration/devops, and related tools. You have a BSc/MSc degree in data/math/telecom or related discipline. You are comfortable with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and working in Linux environments. Previous experience and interest in finance is a plus, but not a must-have.

Most probably you are well founded in the majority of the following:

• Continuous Delivery/DevOps way of working
• Git
• Jenkins
• Configuration management tools, preferably Ansible
• Docker, Kubernetes or other container technologies
• Scripting languages, such as Groovy and Bash
• Build tools, such as Maven, Gradle, NPM/Yarn
• Database migrations tools, such as Flyway
• Working in Linux/Shell environment

Nice-to-have skills and experiences:

• Java & JavaScript
• Python, Perl, Ruby
• Hashicorp Consul & Vault
• Mobile app development and tools
• Backend development
• Test automation
