Senior Data Scientist

Strossle is a rapidly growing, venture capital backed, digital media company with global leadership ambitions. We are looking to strengthen our machine learning team with a senior data scientist.

Are you a data scientist with a few years experience of recommendation systems or natural language processing (NLP)? Then we have a challenge for you! Come build article recommendations based on thousands of publishers' articles all over Europe for more than 100,000,000 users. Our data consist of the raw article text, images, tags from publishers, other metadata, click data, user data, and data derived from these sources.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop machine learning solutions
• Work with our data engineers to implement these solutions
• Part take in planning and roadmap development
• Push the boundaries for how good our recommendations are
• Create original research, visit and publish at conferences

Requirements

• M. Sc. or Ph. D. in relevant field
• At least 5 years experience as a data scientist
• Good understanding of machine learning in general and at least one of recommender systems and NLP
• Fluent in Python
• Good knowledge of Tensorflow and Spark are valued bonuses
