JOB DESCRIPTION

Academic Work is looking for an App store Editor for Apple who will get complete editorial ownership of the App Stores in the region, creating new and innovative promotions reflective of the cultural trends. You will constantly keep yourself updated about what’s cool and what’s not, making sure the most promising apps are featured in the best way possible on the App Store. This role will be hard work and in periods of time the job can be very intense with a lot of critical deadlines. In return you will get the possibility to grow both professional and personally.

JOB DUTIES

As an App Editor you will constantly work with improving the discoverability of apps through useful and intuitive editorial features. Your mission is to pinpoint and highlight the most relevant and interesting apps for a diverse customer base within your region. You will also base editorial decisions on app testing, content partner input and previous industry experience, always keeping in line with global editorial policies.

You will also work closely with the Store Management and Marketing teams to align content roadmaps and feature plans for key titles.You will also collaborate with EMEIA apps editors on seasonal campaigns. Together you will spot scalable cross content opportunities with music, video, podcasts or apps and coordinate their roll out leveraging all available aspects of iTunes. There will be travelling included in this role.

REQUIREMENTS

Excellent understanding of the depth and width of iOS Apps

University degree within Marketing or equivalent

Relevant experience in the digital content /e-commerce market

Proven experience working in complex, international, large-scale, time-critical projects

Previous experience using content management systems

Fluent language skills in Swedish, Norwegian or Danish and of course English

It would be considered an additional benefit if you have previous gaming experience and a good understanding of how the gaming industries vary across Europe.

As a person, you are a self-directed, adaptable individual with excellent communication skills. You are able to work under pressure along with many parallel tasks and critical deadlines.You must have a strong understanding of good user-interface design principles combined with an eye for design and gameplay. Furthermore, you are a hard-working person with great work ethics and you have advanced organizational skills. Your approach towards your work is very “hands-on” and you are always executing projects from start to finish. You also need a unique combination of an excellent attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture. To fit the Apple environment it is important that you are a true team player with a humble attitude.

START: As soon as possible, due to period of notice SCOPE: Full time, permanent employment. LOCATION: The position is placed in London. Relocation support will be provided if required.
