About product and development at Tradera

The customer is always in focus for the development at Tradera. Our vision is to be the best marketplace for unique items and bargains. We continuously develop our offering and the technical platform is a key enabler. As an organisation we challenge all aspects of the product lifecycle, progressively learning from hypotheses and data-driven development

The product development team is responsible for evolving Tradera on a daily basis. We are about 15 developers working in smaller, self-organizing teams. The fast iterations and near-continuous delivery are some of the characteristics that we are especially proud of.

We are looking for a fullstack developer for the Payments team

Tradera is one of Sweden’s largest e-commerce sites with around 4.5 million weekly visits and over 100 bids/second during peaks. This puts high but rewarding demands on you as an engineer. You are not afraid of challenging existing conventions or working practice, using experience and technical skills to think outside the box. We are looking for someone with a curious mind — interested in putting their technical and problem solving skills to use to help us grow.

Desired skills and experience

You have a relevant educational background (or proven experience) and several years of experience from complex technical environments. In our daily work we use agile methods such as Kanban and you will engage in developing those methods to make us even faster. Previous practical knowledge of payments in e-commerce environments will clearly give you an advantage and give you a fast start in the team.  

You have a thirst for technology and use your channels to stay up-to-date. Experimenting and growing is part of your normal work. You will be working in a .NET environment in our Payment-focused team, where customer first is the foundation. You will have the opportunity to work with the full circle of payments — from the initial order to checkout flows and backe-end settlements. Ideally you are already used to running your code in production so wanting to work closely with our operations department is a big bonus.

It is important that you have good communication skills and is open to having conversations in all directions, both towards other developers but also UX design and Product Owners. You might also participate in customer workshops to better understand how to serve our buyers and sellers.
