Ruby - Full Stack Developer for Funded Startup

Backed by serial entrepreneurs in the online recruitment market, we are building the next generation platform to make 'applying for a Job' a thing of the past. No more hassle from recruiters and no more stress when looking for the right place to work.

We are a recently funded startup with the potential of changing the life of millions of people and looking to hire our Employee #3. You will be working directly with the CEO and founder alongside the awesome team in our successful sister company. You will be taking an active role in the on-going development of the current platform from day one and responsible of the end-to-end development of both new and existing features.

The environment in the office is highly vibrant and we are super excited about experimenting with new technologies. We apply the 20% week rule to experiment with new technologies and side projects.

We need you to be excited about machine learning, big data, suggestion-based systems and trying other technologies. The ideal candidate is a hacker, entrepreneurial-minded, ambitious, independent, proactive and with no fear of failure.

Our product is built in Ruby, Rails and Javascript and we use PostgreSQL.

We are looking for a web developer experienced in Ruby. But we are open to consider skills in other object-oriented languages like Python for as long as you are interested in learning new stuff. Skills in front-end design in CSS, HTML and JavaScript is a definite plus.

As you will be taking an active role in the on-going development of the platform, you need to be strong with Test Driven Development and comfortable with Agile methodology.

We also expect you to be comfortable with GIT, APIs (LinkedIn, Facebook etc.), have an interest in experimenting with noSQL, and have some scaling experience.
