Description of position

As a part of the development team at Narrative you will be surrounded by creative and sharp people from previous startups as well as established companies. We are growing fast and are looking for skilled software developers, interested in specializing in mobile app development on the Android platform. 

The development team works fast. During our two week release-cycles, your core focus will be developing, maintaining and testing the Android application. Our android team is small so we really want you to contribute by expressing your opinions and your creative ideas. 

To us it is important that you are a problem solver who loves a challenge and doesn't give up easily. You always put the user first and go that extra mile to make the user experience perfect. You are a team player that supports your colleagues and you are not afraid to ask for help. You are eager to join a sharp team in a fun company. Perhaps you graduated recently or have a few years of experience of similar work. Maybe you have programmed since you were a kid. 

Skills we expect from you

You have a great passion for mobile development and care about the details. You deliver the highest quality code possible given the time constraints. We expect you to have solid knowledge of Java and the Android SDK.

Issues such as memory constraints, do not scare you. At Narrative, we handle a lot of images requiring our apps to be optimized for memory usage as much as possible.

You are comfortable working with web APIs and you can comfortably work with UI/UX professionals to creatively solve problems and implement solutions. 

Bonus
Experience in maintaining an open source project, or having an application to show in the Play Store.

Placement
Preferably Stockholm. But Linköping or Lund are also possible locations.
