Developer Collaboration layer for Scania

Scania is currently undergoing a very exciting change towards an increasingly operational- and flow-oriented approach in which Agile methods and fixed high-performance development teams are key components. Now is the perfect time to join this exciting journey.

Scania is at the moment building a collaboration layer for all its partners to contribute in product development. This collaboration layer shall help in managing changes, quality, product enhancements, etc. The plan is to build a micro-services based platform for different applications/systems and integrate with partners’ and their applications/systems. A variety of home grown and bought applications are included in the IT portfolio.

We are now looking for skilled Developers to further strengthen our development teams within department Product Development IT, responsible for delivering IT to Scania’s product development process.

Your role
As a programmer you will be part of a relatively large collaboration team. Your primary focus will be on development deliverables focussing CemAD/vPDM area. Scania uses Dassault suite of PLM applications. You will also be a part of system requirements, analysis, development and support managent.  You will adopt to an agile approach to work in an environment with technical variations.

Your profile
Our successful candidate will be a natural leader with a passion and understanding for agile culture and ways of working.  You have a degree in engineering, complemented with 3-5 years’ experience as a developer with C++ and/or Java technologies and a significant interest in IT. You need to be proficient in written and spoken English, since it’s our corporate language.
We also think you have:

An interest in building reusable IT solutions.
The commitment and motivation to work with agile teams
Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Technologies using C++
Knowledge of writing unit tests
Knowledge of using GitHub/Perforce, Jenkins
Knowledge of customizing Dassault Applications using CAA an advantage
Knowledge of Oracle database is an advantage
You probably have a background as a Scrum Master
